Ulster Rugby Family Day 2015 …and the Winner is!
The team from H3 Health Insurance had an awesome time at the Ulster Rugby Family Day in Kingspan Stadium. The weather held up for the most part and we got to meet loads of great people and some very talented children.
As H3 Health Insurance are official sponsors of Ulster Rugby we wanted to promote the competitive spirit of the club in a fun, creative way and so once again held our children’s art competition using our mascot Humpty as a muse since he is auspiciously rugby ball shaped!
First we would like to say a big well done to all the kids who took part in our Humpty Colouring Competition. We had over three times as many entries as last year and the high level of skill and range of styles presented left the judges with a tough job on their hands.
After much deliberation we selected a winner and a special congratulations must go to mixed media artist Kirsten Smyth aged four. Kirsten effortlessly combined crayon and colouring pencil in a vibrant colour palette to create a spectacular and technically proficient post-modern interpretation of the classic nursery rhyme character. Kirsten won a years kids cover for herself so unlike Humpty if she takes a great fall, all the great people at Kingsbridge Private Hospital can put her back together again!
Our Teddy Bears hospital was also very popular this year and I think we may have found some potential new medical staff!
But of course the star of the show was Humpty himself who accepted punches and hugs in equal measure throughout the day and provided inspiration to our young artists. A big thank you must therefore go to our new marketing intern Rory who was surprised, but no doubt delighted to be given the privilege of wearing the the Humpty costume on his first day in the company!
